Broken City: Quilt
Organic linen, wool core, 75cms x 110cms.
These baby quilts are part of a collection I made over winter 2023/24, in response to images from Gaza. I designed a pattern of triangles based on the images of broken cities emerging from the conflict, but also the triangle within the Palestinian flag - a symbol of hope for the future of a nation.
It might seem at odds with the subject matter to make a baby quilt, but it is a reminder that no matter where you stand on this conflict, it is impacting the most vulnerable whose protection we should all be striving for. It is made in white linen, in my hope for a peaceful resolution.
All income from this collection will support children in Gaza through Save the Children.
