Quilt Nº4: I will hold you
Linen outer, cotton binding, wool core. Machine quilted. Hand-finished binding.
A wholecloth quilt to melt under, to wrap a child and carry them to bed, to withstand the years of love. Binding dyed at Wildwood Studio with knopper galls and iron.
To personalise this quilt, hand embroidery is available here.
Care Instructions: Once you have done it once, quilts are easy to care for. It is hand wash, but it takes less time than a load of laundry. I treat them the same as I would a pure wool sweater. Wash gently by placing in the bathtub, large sink or shower and rinsing with lukewarm water. If needed, use a gentle wool soap such as Eucalan No Rinse. Be careful not to over-agitate. Leave to soak. Squeeze gently. Line dry. This is best done outside on a dry day, or over a rail in the shower.
